dLeague is an online racing league, offering racing in Cup, GTP and 70's classic cars. We accept entries all year round and offer a variety of series for a variety of abilities.
Our top cup series, The VPP Cup, is sponsored by virtual performance parts, and gives drivers an oppurtunity to win a set of their Professional Pedalsets, worth over 500 euros.
For many it's an old favorite, whilst for others it's the track from their darkest nightmares - whatever a drivers view, it's agreed that quality and class is how a driver survives an event like New Hampshire.
Two drivers showing their class this weekend was the Chris Baumann and 'Lefty' Papaulakis. Continuing Team Mentals dominance of the National Series, Baumann headed to the front and stayed there to collect his second win of season 2 and the plaudits of his peers: "overall i thought some very close, clean and ultra fast racing through the field in both races at New Hampshire.Have to say the racing at both races at Loudon were the closest bumper to bumper and door to door racing i have raced in for a long time." commented returning veteran George Buchan. Of his victory perfromance Baumann put it down to team setup work "Dialed in the car nicely in praccy and was confident to run quick. Some problems with the breaks nearly got me into trouble early. Moved as much break bias to the rear cos my pedals are crap but with 70 the dang thing still locked it. Some trailbreaking and reducing entry speed to care of that"
In the VPP series, Baumann was looking a likley challenger again, mixing practice times up with runaway series leaders Papaulakis and John Bayes. Bayes heading for his 3rd title in a row was looking set to take his series lead onto Dover, qualifying in pole and setting the fastest time in practice; but an early incident saw the #74 collect some hefty damage, losing over a second a lap on the leaders. This left the door open for 'Lefty' to dominate the field, and he duly obliged, collecting the win and with enough points dropped by Bayes, the championship lead.
The dLeague roadshow rolls onto Dover this week, the conrete cookie cutter with the title fight finally balanced.....

Sep 14, 2006
The server that currently runs the dLeague maillist system is experiencing some bad issues at the moment. As a result some drivers are not receving racemails. If you are due to attend dLeague's GTP race from Mosport this evening, you should connect to the IP address with no password.

No, not another episode of ‘Tool Time’, but a dLeague Racing preview of the upcoming race at Michigan International Speedway.
With the five race of season awaiting dLeague drivers, we move from right turn to fast turns. The last event saw both series visit the trak. The VPP Cup race was won by #74 of John Bayes, followed by #31 of Lefteris Papaulakis and #2 of Sascha Henken in third. In the National Cup, the race was won by #2 of Sascha Henken, followed by #101 of Niall Anderson and #83 of Brad Dillenback in third.
With weather conditions similar to last race held here, drivers are quite pleased with the performance and handling of their cars. Some quitting practice early, with others only making the smallest of adjustments. However, increased speeds have shown higher tire temparatures that both drivers & crew chiefs would like to see droop. Tire runs from various teams have had good results with the tire keeping together better then what was expected.
A buzz again among the garage area has drivers setting their sights on breaking the lap record.

No not another Rock n’ Roll Tour, but a dLeague Racing preview of the upcoming event at Watkins Glin International.
With the forth race of Season 2 awaiting dLeague drivers, we move from the Brickyard to the Vine Yards of upstate New York. Both of dLeague’s Series, VPP & National head North for the second road course event of the season. A 2.45 mile track of flowang turns and elevation changes can be hard on cars and drivers. Keeping gears in the transmission, saving the tires and staying on track will reward a good finish.
Last years race was filled with controversy, with drivers cliashing heading towards Turn 1 on Lap 1. In another league race previous, an altercation between #08 of Richard Towler and #10 of Caspar Kahari resulted in the #10 putting the #08 into the gravel. With #10 of Kahari continuing, the #08 of Towler would return the favor 2 laps later. As the field headed round Turn 1, Towler emerged from the pits right behind Kahari going into the ‘Esses’. As they reached the top of the ‘Esses’, Kahari got loose on the curb exiting and got sideways, with Towler deciding to drive his car into Kahari causing them both to crash, involving other cars in the wreckage. Officials post race issued the probation of both drivers and the vMaxSR #10 of Kahari to receive a 1 race ban.
Last year’s winner #007 of Tom Goodall (again not racing in dLeague this season) taking care of his tires to finish an impressive 45 seconds ahead of 2nd place #93 of Darrell Watts and rounding out the Top3 was #74 John Bayes.
This weekends Race Favorite, all eyes again will be on #93 of Darrell Watts. Almost ‘doing the double’ at Infineon Raceway with 2 Poles and 2 Top3 finishes. One of which was a win in the National series only to be denied in the VPP series race from a blown tire, losing time getting back to the pits. Early times from testing have shown ‘DW’ to be on the same pace as last year. But tailing his bumper again will be the cars of #74 John Bayes and #31 of Lefteris Papaulakis. Several other drivers will be in the mix with practice times being closer throughout field.
Curb hopping and dust kicking brings a challenge to the dLeague drivers. Some met this with eagerness while most of the drivers will strike it down as a mulligan or a race to forget.
